외국 영화를 볼 때 번역을 잘못하면

그 말의 뉘앙스나 진짜 의도가

잘 전달되지 못하는 것처럼,

또 새로운 언어를 배울 때

그 나라의 문화나 관습을

이해하지 못하면 같은 표현이라도

전혀 다르게 전달되거나

이해되는 것처럼,

같은 언어를 쓰지만

각자 살아온 삶의 문화와

특성을 잘 알지 못한다면

서로 다른 표현에

우리는 쉽게 오해하고

쉽게 상처 받게 됩니다.

행복하고 건강한 관계를 위해

우리는 감정을 직역이 아니라

의역을 할 수 있는 실력이 필요합니다.

새로운 언어를 하나 배우기 위해서

많은 정성과 노력이 필요하듯,

감정이라는 눈에 보이지 않는 영역을

배우고 숙달하기 위해서도

많은 정성과 훈련이 필요합니다.

갈등이 생기는 큰 원인 중에 하나는

서로 다툴 때 상대방의 의도와 느낌을

파악하거나 수용하려고 하기 보다

내가 상처받거나 공격받지 않기 위해

의식이 자신에게 매몰되어 있는 것입니다.

처음 관계를 맺기 시작할 때

사람들은 비교적 열린 관심으로 서로를 대합니다.

그래서 크게 부딪힐 일이 적습니다.

하지만 점점 친해지고

상대방에 대해서 다 안다고 느꼈을 때

우리는 상대방을 습관적으로

그리고 관념적으로 대합니다.

저 사람은 이래서 이럴거야.

저 사람은 이런 사람이야

라고 생각하면서 말이죠.

내가 상처받지 않기 위해

자신의 생각과 판단을 합리화하거나

상대방을 비판하지만

진실로 마음이 평온하기 위해서는

상대방의 마음을 느꼈을 때

비로서 안심할 수 있습니다.

상대방도 나와 같은 마음이라는 것을

알게 되었기 때문입니다.

상대방도 나와 같이

사랑받고 존중받고 싶다는 것을요.

좋은 관계를 위해

관계의 기술이나 표현법을

배우는 것보다 중요한 것은

내 안에 있는 감정의 의미를

바르게 해석하고 내면의 에너지를

다루는 방법을 익히는 것입니다.

반복되는 갈등 관계를

깊이 관찰 해보면

그 상황에서 내가 겪고 있는

마음의 상처나 골이 생각보다

깊다는 것을 발견하게 됩니다.

즉 그 상처는 현재 갈등관계에 있는

사람 때문만이 아니라,

과거에 크게 상처받았던 경험 때문에

반복되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.

그렇기에 언제 생겨났는지 모르는

나의 아픔과 상처를 알아주고

치유해주는 과정이 필요합니다.

그랬을 때 불편한 상황에서도

그것을 유연하게 받아들이고

소화할 수 있게 됩니다.

같은 표현이라도 전혀 다르게

전달되거나이해되는 것처럼,

같은 언어를 쓰지만 각자 살아온

삶의 문화와 특성을 잘 알지 못한다면

서로 다른 표현에 우리는 쉽게 오해하고

쉽게 상처 받게 됩니다.

행복하고 건강한 관계를 위해

우리는 감정을 직역이 아니라

의역을 할 수 있는 실력이 필요합니다.

새로운 언어를 하나 배우기 위해서

많은 정성과 노력이 필요하듯,

감정이라는 눈에 보이지 않는 영역을

배우고 숙달하기 위해서도

많은 정성과 훈련이 필요합니다.

갈등이 생기는 큰 원인 중에 하나는
